The Moscone Center is located in San Francisco's South of Market area (also known as SoMa) which features many bars, nightclubs and restaurants. The Moscone Center was opened in 1981 and expansions in 1992 and 2003 added the North and West buildings respectively. The complex features numerous amenities including wifi, on and off-site catering services and a state-of-the-art audio/visual presentation system. Located atop the roof of Moscone North is Yerba Buena Gardens. Also, atop Moscone South is a popular childrens' area called The Rooftop at the Gardens.
