the area. The Centre shares Canada Place with a Cruise
Ship Terminal, The Pan Pacific Hotel, a 3D IMAX theater
and has several hotels within safe and easy walking
distance. The downtown area has various attractions
including numerous shopping centers, the Queen Elizabeth
Theater and the Vancouver Art Gallery.
The Centre is scheduled to complete expansion in
early 2009 to provide 473,523 square feet (currently

ballroom, and plenary theater space. On-site technology
services and catering services are also available
at the Centre. Facility staff is multi-lingual and
the Centre has an extensive environmentally safe program
with features such as a "living roof" and seawater
heating and cooling.
