The Washington State Convention and Trade Center, located
in downtown Seattle, was home to the historic World
Trade Organization meeting of 1999. It is easily accessible
by I-5 and is approximately 20 minutes from the Seattle
Tacoma International Airport. The Center provides easily
accessible onsite parking for 1,565 vehicles and is
within walking distance of several public lots, shops,
sight seeing stops, hotels and restaurants.
The Washington State Convention and Trade Center
offers over 200,000 square feet of exhibition space.
This space features "state of the art equipment,"
wireless Internet, and on-site, 24-hour, technology
and customer support. The Center also provides a concierge
service, a visitor's center, massage and salon services,
FedEx Kinko's, Gold's Gym and a sign shop. On-site
catering, by "one of the northwest's nationally acclaimed
kitchens," ranges from buffet service to fine dining.
Several on-site eateries are available including a
crepe shop, juice stand, Internet café/lounge, coffee
stands and several fast-food options. Two sit-down
restaurants are also available: Bambuza Bistro (offering
international cuisine and a full bar) and Moby's Restaurant
& Lounge (offering casual dining service, grill items,
a full bar and micro-brewed beer).
