Monte Carlo Casino Fire Update

No date is currently set for the reopening of the Monte Carlo Casino Hotel in Las Vegas. Work was begun on Sunday, January 27 to repair floors damaged by fire and water. Work is to continue today with many additional contractors beginning work today. Las Vegas officials have stated that the damaged construction foam on the exterior of the building must be removed or secured prior to reopening the hotel.

The fire has damaged primarily floors 27-32, which includes the top-level concierge rooms and suites. Guests who were staying at the hotel at the time of the fire were booked into other MGM Mirage properties in Las Vegas. Guests who were scheduled to check-in over this past weekend were booked into rooms at other company hotels such as Mandalay Bay, The Mirage, MGM Grand and Treasure Island.
